Vessels and Charterers
New vessels
Rederi AB Gotland commissioned two 53,000-ton tankers of ice class 1A Super at Guangzhou Shipyard International in China that were delivered in July 2008. These vessels are part of a series of four tankers, the first two of which (the M/T Gotland Carolina and M/T Gotland Sofia) were delivered in 2006 and 2007 respectively. In partnership with Wisby Tankers AB, Rederi AB Gotland has also ordered a sister ship to the M/T Wisby Verity to be built at the Ferus Smit Leer GmbH shipyard in Germany for delivery in 2009.
Also in partnership with Wisby Tankers AB, Rederi AB Gotland has signed a contract with the Penglai shipyard in China for two 5,800-ton tankers for delivery in 2009.
