Rederi AB Gotland is a shipping line that invests in vessels for ferry, ro-ro and tanker operations. Investment also includes active participation in the development of new ships. Our investment strategy is primarily focused on new generations of vessels with a high level of technology.
Our operations include the ownership and management of ferries, ro-ro ships and tankers and the operational management of vessels via our subsidiary company Destination Gotland AB.
Rederi AB Gotland has been contracted by the Swedish government to operate traffic between Gotland and the Swedish mainland since 1998 via Destination Gotland AB. By developing modern passenger tonnage that meets the most stringent environment and safety requirements, Rederi AB Gotland is able to offer passengers and freight customers rapid, safe and secure transport at affordable rates.
We invest in tankers to balance dependency on the ferry market. These tankers are under the management of other shipping lines.
We also work closely with other Gotland companies on marketing and travel agency initiatives to promote tourism on Gotland.
